Family to Family Sponsorship Project:

What is the Family to Family Sponsorship Program?
You and your family would financially sponsor a family in a Palestinian refugee camp, primarily in Gaza Strip and Lebanon, on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. The sponsored family would receive the donation in direct financial assistance.

Are tax deduction receipt Available?
Tax deduction receipts are only available in the U.S.
Depending on the program selection, tax deduction receipts are processed by the U.S. partners: Al-Awda New York, or New Jersey Solidarity. Both are tax-exempt, non-profit organizations. You should feel secure about helping Palestinian families through the Palestinian Refugee Support Network. Al-Karmel and Hanan are independent Palestinian non-governmental organizations that have worked with and received financing from major international institutions, and engage in the strictest accounting practices, ensuring that your donation goes directly to needy families. All monies are disbursed fully in accordance with all U.S. laws and regulations.

How much does a family need?
An Al-Karmel Cultural Association assessment states that a family needs $200 per month to minimally survive poverty and siege. The $100 we’re offering will allow the family to cope partially, and allow us to bring assistance to more families.

How much is received by the family from the sponsored amount?
The only deductions from the sponsored amount would be the share of Wire Transfer fees (estimated at $4), PayPal transaction charge (estimated at $3), Administration charge of $5.00 for Al-Karmel, and local administrative expenses of $3.00, for each $100 family sponsorship. Our program relies highly on volunteers and your support. The family should receive an average amount of $85 per $100 donation.

How long will my sponsorship last?
Your sponsorship can last several months or many years. The goal of the Family Sponsorship Project is to bring your sponsored family and their community to health and self-reliance so they can step confidently into the future and survive the hard conditions under siege and under occupation. The campaign will continue to expand to serve other communities in desperate need of help. You will be given the opportunity to sponsor a different family in a new community.

Do I have to be in the US or Canada to make my donation?
If you’re using Paypal, you’ll be able to provide your donation from any of the 103 countries that Paypal processes payments from. You can also pay with your Credit Card without having a Paypal account from any part of the world.

How do I contact to my sponsored family? Will I hear from my sponsored family?
Once you become a sponsor, we will provide you with contact information for the family if they have own telephone. Otherwise, Al-Karmel & Hanan Associations will arrange for an appointment for you to speak to the family at their offices. You will also be able to write letters to the families, and receive letters back from them. Please allow time for translation arrangements if needed.

What do we receive when we become a sponsoring family?
In addition to your family’s profile, you will also receive a welcome letter, a brochure explaining the program, and quarterly receipts. We will also provide contact information to the sponsored family and a semi-annual receipt from the family of the amount received. An annual progress report with an updated photo (optional) will also detail how your support is benefiting your sponsored family

ما هو برنامج التكافل الأسري؟
يعمل البرنامج على أساس خلق آليات للتواصل المباشر بين العائلات الكفيلة في الخارج ومثيلاتها ( المكفولة ) في قطاع غزة ويوفر للعائلة الكفيلة إمكانية الدعم المالي المباشر للعائلات والبرامج التي ترعى شؤونها جمعيتي الكرمل وحنان وبشكل مستمر واّمن وبمبالغ مالية محددة شهريا، أو كل ثلاثة أشهر، ستة أشهر، أو سنويا.

هل بإمكاننا الحصول على إعفاء ضريبي لتبرعاتنا؟
يمكنكم الحصول على إيصالات الإعفاء الضريبي في الولايات المتحدة فقط. الإيصالات توفر عند الطلب.
وحسب البرنامج الموقع عليه،ستقدم هذه الإيصالات من خلال تحالف حق العودة إلى فلسطين-نيويورك، أو من خلال مؤسسة التضامن لتحرير فلسطين. كلا المؤسستين مسجلتين كمؤسسات غير ربحية في الولايات المتحدة وتتبع في تعاملاتها المالية جميع اللوائح والقوانين التابعة للولايات المتحدة.

ماهي احتياجات العائلة المكفولة؟
حسب تقديرات جمعية الكرمل، تحتاج العائلة إلى ما يقارب مائتي دولار على الأقل شهريا لتوفير الاحتياجات الأساسية شهرياً. بناء على ذلك، يعمل برنامج التكافل الأسري على توفير مئة دولار لدعم احتياجات العائلة جزئياً وكذلك لتقديم الدعم لعدد أكبر من العائلات.

كم يصل إلى العائلة نقدياً من الدعم الشهري؟
مجموع التكاليف الإدارية هو 10 إلى 15 دولار مقسمة على النحو التالي: 3 دولارات لموقع "بي بال" وحوالي 4 دولارات للتحويل البنكي و 5 دولارات مصاريف إدارية لمؤسستي الكرمل وحنان و 3 دولارات مصاريف إدارية للمشروع. يصل العائلة 85 دولار من المخصص الشهري.

ماهي فترة الإلتزام؟
كفالة العائلة من الممكن أن تستمر لشهور أو لسنوات. بإمكانكم التوقف عند الطلب. من الأفضل أن تكون فترة الالتزام بدعم العائلة المكفولة محددة مسبقا لتستمر على الأقل لمدة سنة.
ومع تطور المشروع، سيكون بإمكانكم كفالة عائلات أخرى في مخيمات أخرى.

كيف يمكننا الإتصال بالعائلة المكفولة؟ وهل سنحصل على ردود؟
عندما تصبح كفيلاً لعائلة ستحصل على معلومات مبدئية حول العائلة المكفولة وظروفها المعيشية، ووسيلة اتصال مباشرة بهم كالهاتف أو بريد إليكتروني. إذا لم يكن هناك وسيلة اتصال مباشرة، سيكون بإمكان جمعيتي الكرمل وحنان تنسيق وقت محدد للحديث إلى العائلة. الرجاء مراعاة إعطاء الوقت الكافي إذا كانت الترجمة مطلوبة. تبادل الرسائل أيضا محبب. في جميع الأحوال، الرجاء إعطاء الوقت الكافي.

كيف سيكون بإمكاننا متابعة تبرعاتنا للعائلة المكفولة؟
بعد التسجيل، ستحصلون على معلومات مبدئية حول العائلة المكفولة وظروفها المعيشية، ومعلومات مفصلة حول البرنامج. ستتوفر إيصالات كل ثلاثة أشهر من مؤسساتنا في الولايات المتحدة وكندا، ووصل موقع من العائلة باستلام التبرعات كل نصف عام.
كما سيقدم تقرير سنوي حول تطور وضع العائلة مع صور (اختياري للعائلات المكفولة).
